It is Paul Magee’s determination, innovation and entrepreneurial style that has made VeCommerce Limited a leading player in the global voice self-service market.


Managing Director since 1996, Paul has been instrumental in transforming the company into an Australian innovation success story with offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Wellington, Hong Kong, Boston (USA) and London (UK) - with software development centres in Sydney and Auckland.


A strong leader focused on tangible business outcomes, Paul’s long-held commitment to teamwork, openness and creativity was reinforced in previous senior positions he held at James Hardie and Lend Lease. He was invited to serve on the Advisory Board for the 2003 Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Technology Fast 500 Global CEO Summit, is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and in 2000 was appointed as a Governor of the Warren Centre for Advanced Engineering, an independent, industry-linked institute committed to fostering excellence and innovation in advanced engineering throughout Australia.


He studied Industrial Electronics at Swinbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne, and completed a Masters in Management at Macquarie University in Sydney. In 1999, Paul was awarded the individual exporter of the year award in recognition of his contribution to the Australian High Technology Export Industry, and in 1999 he was invited to accompany the then Australian Minister for Trade and Deputy Prime Minister, Tim Fisher, on a bilateral trade delegation to Iran.


In its first three year’s of operation, VeCommerce grew its revenues by over 1500 per cent. In its fourth year, it posted its first full year profit and paid its first dividend, and the company continues to flourish from there. In 2004, VeCommerce was chosen as a shortlisted entrant in the 'Contributor to Change' category of the UK Trade & Investment International Business Awards. Previous recognition included ranking second in the elite 'Deloitte Technology Fast 50' for 2002, and being awarded the 2001 winner of the ‘Call Centre and CRM Technology Award’ run by callcentres.net.
